People of Etah mostly depend on agriculture for their living. Agriculture is the main activity in Etah with the region being located on the Doab, which is an area between the two important rivers of India, Yamuna and Ganga. The crops that are grown profusely in the Doab region of Etah include maize, bajra, jowar, barley, wheat and rice. Water is found abundant in the Doab region for the irrigation of the cultivable lands due to the proximity of Doab to the two most important perennial rivers of India.
